What an exciting end to our week with Mayor Alex Walker joining us for hui a kura (assembly) this morning.  Room 1 tamariki presented a poster to the Mayor, who promised to display it in her office.

Mayor Alex Walker and Councillor Christine Renata shared about the Safer Community Street BBQ that we are hosting at Terrace on Wednesday 10th April from 2:30.  There will be a sausage sizzle and many of the organisations that support our community will be in attendance including appliances, ambulance and police.  We invite whanau and community to join us for this special afternoon. 

Mayor Alex Walker shared a colouring competition with our tamariki; all entries must be in by 3pm next Thursday 4th April.  There will be two winners in each of three categories:  Year 1-3, Year 4-6, and Year 7-8.  These winners will receive a ride to school in a police car, fire truck or ambulance!  What an awesome prize!

I want to make a big shout out to Mrs. Chant and her team for coordinating an exceptional Literacy Quiz held at Waipukurau Primary last night.  We entered two teams, who both represented our kura well in terms of behaviour and achievement.  Kia kaha koutou!

We are so proud of our waiata to Christchurch, which has been viewed over 6,000 times on facebook in the last week.  Our tamariki are stars!

CHB Rugby Registration

Junior rugby registrations have begun. Past players will have received an email, to follow the links to re-register. New players and anyone who hasn’t received an email, please go to sporty.co.nz/chbjrc to register.

Central rugby club are holding their weight and pay event at the Waipukurau Primary School hall on Friday 22^nd March, 3-4:30pm. This is for all kids who wish to play for the Central rugby and sports club junior teams.
