Story written by Sapphire Johansson-Smith.

First I went to have lunch at Breakers, I had a mini mouse drink and then I went to mini golf. I got a hole in 3 and then I played in the park. We then came home from Napier and I slept in the car for a long time. I have a dirty car!  I got a new microwave because my old one blew up and that was a bummer because I had to have crunchy chicken wraps, and I like the way they melt because it’s yummier and warm.

COMMUNITY NOTICES

Kahui Ako – Communities of learning

CHB schools have got together and formed two Kahui Ako/Communities of Learning.

The idea behind this is schools working together to achieve challenges they have in common.  It is about collaboration and ensuring that transitions from Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary are smooth.  We want the best outcome for all of the CHB children that go through our educational sectors.  Both Kahui Ako/Communities of Learning will work quite closely together.  The two Kahui Ako/Communities of Learning are:

Ruahine Kahui Ako – CHBC, Flemington, Onga Onga, Porangahau, St Josephs, Takapau, Terrace, Waipukurau Primary, Hunter Park Kindergarten, Lakeview Kindergarten and Scallywags.

Te Angi Angi Kahui Ako – CHBC, Argyl-East, Elsthorpe, Omakere,Otane,Pukehou, Sherwood, Waipawa Primary, Waipawa Kindergarten and Waiapu.

The decision of what schools would be in what Kahui Ako was based on numbers.

We are collecting voices from teachers, students and whanau about what they think is best for the children of CHB.

If you would like to take part in the 5 minute survey please contact the school office so the link can be emailed to you to complete and submit.
